False Alarm at Toronto Facility

Subject: False Alarm at Toronto Facility, 1025 Lansdowne Avenue

On Monday, November 4, 2024, at approximately 9:00 a.m., a fire alarm at BWXT Nuclear Energy Canada’s Toronto facility at 1025 Lansdowne Avenue, was accidentally activated during maintenance on the alarm panel, resulting in a response from Toronto Fire Services.

Employees were evacuated, however, there was no fire or sprinkler activation.

There are no health or safety risks posed to the public, environment, or employees as a result of this alarm.
