Celebrating excellence: BWXT receives Supplier of the Year award
BWXT was celebrated as one of the best of the best at an awards ceremony recognizing partners of Day & Zimmermann (D&Z) that drive quality, innovation and success. D&Z provides services for leading corporations and governments around the world. Every year they recognize suppliers that contribute to their ability to provide a higher quality of service to its customers.
This year, BWXT’s Jonesborough, Tennessee site was selected as a recipient of the 2024 Supplier of the Year award. Nominated by D&Z employees at their Lone Star, Texas location, our site currently provides M67 grenade bodies to that facility, where the grenade is loaded and fully assembled with fuse as the finished product. The Jonesborough site has been manufacturing M67 grenade bodies since 2003 as the sole provider of this product line and has manufactured and delivered close to nine million grenade bodies over the past 22 years.
“This award reflects commitment from our M67 grenade body team to safely meeting all quality and schedule requirements laid out by the customer and a willingness to be completely transparent with this customer to communicate and resolve issues as they occur,” Jonesborough General Manager Jon Hagemann said. “We could not be more proud of our team.”
D&Z said that our site was being recognized for dependable quality and on-time delivery over 10 years, strong commitment to competitive multi-year pricing, pro-active communication, cooperation and risk mitigation and a collaborative partnership to fulfill contractual obligations.
