On November 14, 2018 at approximately 1:00 p.m., the elevator emergency call button at BWXT Nuclear Energy Canada’s Toronto plant was inadvertently activated, resulting in a response from Toronto Fire Services. Toronto Fire checked the elevators, and the call was confirmed to be a false alarm.
There was no health of safety risk posed to the public or employees.
