Goldman Named BWXT’s Director, NASA Programs
(LYNCHBURG, Virginia – December 5, 2017) – BWX Technologies, Inc. (NYSE:BWXT) announced today that Arthur E. (Gene) Goldman has been named Director, NASA Programs.
In this role, Goldman will provide customer relationship management, programmatic interface and market development support for all of our NASA-related interests. Goldman will be located in Huntsville, Alabama.

Before holding leadership positions with Leidos, Inc. and Aerojet Rocketdyne, Goldman served NASA from 1990 to 2012 at Marshall Space Flight Center and Stennis Space Center in Mississippi. He held multiple senior executive positions including Project Manager, Space Shuttle Main Engine; Deputy Center Director and Center Director at Stennis Space Center; and Deputy Center Director and Acting Center Director at Marshall Space Flight Center, responsible for managing each Center’s program assignments within the NASA portfolio.
Prior to his NASA career, he worked with various utilities in the nuclear power industry between 1978 and 1990 in plant construction and operation.
Goldman graduated from Mississippi State University in 1977 with a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and from Meridian Community College in 1973. He was registered as a professional engineer in Louisiana and Mississippi. He attended the Harvard Senior Executive Fellows Program in 2003 and was the recipient of multiple performance awards from NASA, including the Presidential Rank Award-Distinguished. He was inducted in the Meridian Community College Hall of Fame for outstanding career achievement in 2009. He is a member of the Huntsville Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, the Huntsville-National Space Club Board of Directors, FIRST Robotics Board of Directors-Huntsville and the Huntsville Rotary Club.
