BWXT Names Dave Broussard General Manager of Barberton, Ohio Operations

(BARBERTON, Ohio – Dec. 2, 2019) – BWX Technologies, Inc. (NYSE:BWXT) announced today that Dave Broussard has been named general manager of the BWXT Nuclear Operations Group, Inc. (BWXT NOG) manufacturing facility in Barberton, Ohio.

“With 30 years of experience leading and innovating in high-consequence operations, Dave is well-qualified to lead our Barberton manufacturing operations,” BWXT NOG President Joel W. Duling said. “Barberton is a vital part of our business, and with Dave’s leadership, we’ll continue our legacy of excellence as we grow to meet increasing demand signal from our customers.”

Barberton employees manufacture heavy components for naval nuclear reactors used in submarines and aircraft carriers. The site employs more than 750 people and is in the midst of a campaign to invest more than $80 million in the facility and hire 80 new employees.

Prior to joining the Barberton operation, Broussard was the director of the Department of Energy’s Transient Reactor Test facility at the Idaho National Laboratory. He also held various positions with BWXT environmental remediation projects at the Naval Reactors Facility. Prior to joining the company, he served on the USS Carl Vinson, a nuclear-powered Nimitz-class aircraft carrier.

He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in nuclear technologies from the University of the State of New York.
